Newly elected New London Mayor Finizio `legalizes' pot

From the New London Day:

Mayor Daryl Justin Finizio issued his first four executive orders today, instructing the city police department not to target for arrest potential illegal immigrants and people found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on private property.

The order goes on to say that no New London police officer shall be disciplined for failing to enforce such drug laws.

  1. Perhaps we should drug test the Mayor

  2. I first tried it back in the late sixties, and I'm nearly 60 years old now. And I still love it. I'm living a happy and successful life. Absolutely no regrets at all. It even made it far easier to quit my tobacco addiction after ten years of a pack and a half a day habit. Just toke up instead!

It's time to end the prohibition and fully legalize.

That looks like a pretty old photo. I'll bet most of the folks in it today would tell you a similar story to mine. And I'm sorry for you that you missed something that makes life so great in it's way.

You assumption is off the mark.
I went to college starting in 1969 - figure it out.

  4. Well, my apologies then! I mistakenly thought this blog post was critical of the mayor's very wise move. I raise my bong in your honor...
